Company Founded
iNES GROUP is founded as a telecommunications services provider for the local market in Bucharest, by a group of passionate IT specialists.
Activities focus on technical support and small-scale network implementations, laying the foundations for values of quality and customer orientation.
First Professional Data Center in Bucharest
iNES GROUP launches the first professional Data Center in Bucharest, organized across two areas of 160 sqm each, designed to host IT equipment.
Infrastructure with redundant power supply, N+1 UPS systems, N+1 HVAC climate control, fire detection and suppression systems, and multi-level access control.
First IPTV Service in Romania
iNES launches the first IPTV service in Romania and among the first in Europe. October 1, 2005 becomes a landmark date for television in Romania.
The IPTV service includes Timeshifting, Interactive Program Guide and Parental Control, delivered through its own FTTH network.
First Full HD Channels
iNES launches the first Full HD channel package as part of the iNES IPTV package, taking image quality to a higher level in Romania.
First 4K/UHD Channel in Romania
In partnership with SPI International, iNES launches in October 2016 the first 4K/UHD channel in Romania – Funbox UHD – continuing its tradition as an innovator.
Over 100 HD Channels
iNES becomes the first operator with more than 100 unique HD channels in its lineup, following a sustained campaign to replace SD channels with HD versions.
Launch of iNES Smart
iNES launches the iNES Smart service, bringing the benefits of IP television directly to customers' devices and aligning with new digital consumption habits.
Launch of iNES Live
With iNES Live, iNES expands its IP television services nationwide, offering more than 150 unique channels, of which over 100 are HD, as well as 4K/UHD channels in an OTT service.
